Buildings to Destroy with Cats

Cats can be used to reduce the levels of buildings in enemy villages. Unlike rams, which are restricted to destroying walls, cats can target almost any building except the hiding place. If you want to use cats to make a village good for easy farming, destroy these buildings:

  • Destroying the rally point stops them from sending attacks
  • Lowering the farm level bellow the level required for the number of villagers they’re already using stops them from building or recruiting any more
  • Lowering the levels of the barracks, stable and workshop increases the time it takes for their troops to be produce

If you plan to noble a village, it’s recommended to only use rams to destroy the wall, so that you don’t have to rebuild once you take the village. If you don’t plan on farming the village, destroying the timber camp, iron mine and clay pit will reduce their production of resources and cause their growth to be slowed.

Tribal Wars in Other Languages

Tribal Wars is also available in other languages. In German it’s called Die Stämme. In Polish it’s called Plemiona. In French it’s called Guerre Tribale. In Spanish it’s called Guerras Tribales. In Romanian it’s called Triburile. In Italian it’s called Guerre Tribali. In Russian it’s called Война Племён. In Turkish it’s called Klanlar.

1 to 1

Always keep your number of troops at least equal to your number of points, aka 1:1. If you can get it higher, that’s even better.

Noob Farming Village

In the beginning of your Tribal Wars experience, farming should be your main income and your goal should be to be the very first player in your 11×11 to get rams/catapults. By 450-500 points if you get 100 axes and 20 rams you can attack and farm anyone in your square and your income from farming will far exceed anything you could have built in your village. Beat everyone down and own your area.

This is a good guide for a new Tribal Wars player as it gives you a foundation, but it leaves you very vulnerable, so good luck.

By 600 points:
Village HQ: 10
Barracks: 3
Stable: 3
Smithy: 12
Market: 2
Timber Camp: 17
Clay Pit: 15
Iron Mine: 14
Farm: 12
Warehouse: 10
Hiding Place: 2
Wall: 10

250 Spears
200 Swords
200 Axes
50 Scouts
50 Light cavalry
20 Rams
10 Catapults (to destroy your neighbors farms one by one)

Kill

Kill constantly! If you have a maxed out offensive village lying around unused, you’re doing something wrong. If your tribe has no targets, go looking for one and get it approved.

Recapture

Recapture if you can’t defend. If it looks like you won’t be able to hold a village on defense, another possibility is to downgrade the wall and troops on purpose while the enemy is on the way, wait a little while after he captures, then strike the village and retake it. You can easily kill any defensive troops he sent due to the low wall and upgrades, and his nobles probably take a long time to get to you, so you wasted a nice chunk of his time.

Kill Nobles

Kill nobles, not clearing strikes. If you see a “train” of more then four noble strikes incoming, then there are some clearing strikes added in there, just move everything out of the way and move defensive troops to your village timed such that they arrive just before the 4th from last strike. This will allow you to kill nobles without taking any losses from strikes that come before them.

Scout Often

Scout often, and with many scouts. You should have at least a couple thousand scouts for every other defensive village, up to a max of 10K to 20K scouts. Scout every village of your target with one scout, then send 2-3K each to the villages where your 1 scout failed. You do not want to attack targets you have not scouted, except much later in the game when you have extra strikes that you can afford to lose.

Fakes

Use fakes with all of your attacks. For every real attack you send at a live target, send a number of fake attacks at the same speed. Send about 5-20 fake attacks of 1 ram for every full strike depending on the time you have.

Bonus Villages

Try to farm bonus villages early and noble them quickly, they are a valuable resource and can give you a leg up on the villages around you.

Hiding place

Building a Hiding place can help you save resources during an attack that you’ll need to rebuild with afterward.

Troops

Make sure you have enough troops to protect your new villages when you start nobleing.

Owned

Omg, omg Owned is gone and H20 has a NAP with NN, score.

GK

GK now has another tribe in their World 31 family love-fest-orgy, in addition to ~GK and GK~ they now have *GK, great.

Tip #3

Study the tribal wars building tree to see which tribal wars buildings you should build first to maximize your time and resources.
